Quality Assurance Manager (QA)
As QA manager at Frestia, you will develop, monitor and maintain our quality policy. You ensure that we meet the requirements of food safety and other regulations. Together, we make the tastiest products possible!
What are you going to do?
As QA manager, you are responsible for quality within Frestia. You develop, monitor and take care of our quality policy and processes. You ensure that we comply with food safety requirements and supporting documents such as BRC and IFS. To check that we meet these requirements, our customers regularly conduct surveys and checks. You prepare these examinations and checks properly and you also receive the person who comes to carry out the check. To this end, you also make your colleagues aware of our quality rules through, for example, internal training sessions. In addition, you deal with:
- Improvement projects and examinations of our processes;
- Assessing suppliers;
- Developing, implementing and monitoring quality processes;
- Investigating and resolving errors in products and processes;
- Arrange complaints and quality reports;
- Reporting in relation to sustainability.
Where will you be working?
We're all about taste. That's what Frestia is all about. We are a true family company and growers of specialties in peppers and tomatoes. Our products are renowned for their taste: Vitapep snack peppers, sweet pointed peppers and mini cherry tomatoes. Healthy, crunchy and above all sweet. With our team, we work in the Netherlands and Portugal to produce tasty snack vegetables all year round in a sustainable way.
As QA manager, you will work in our office, but you will also be present in the packaging hall a lot. You will work closely with our labour manager and regularly coordinate matters with our location managers. For instance, you will agree with them who is responsible for certain procedures and work instructions. Your supervisor will be Patrick, our commercial director.
What will you bring?
As QA manager, you take a structured approach. On the one hand, you do this by recording things properly in writing. On the other hand, you do this through clear communication. You are a real initiator who convinces people and works together to achieve goals. Is something not going according to plan? Then you are flexible and work to find a suitable solution. We can find the following on your CV:
- HBO working and thinking level;
- You have already worked with quality assurance systems;
- Good command of the English language, both verbally and in writing.

- A contract for 40 hours a week;
- A (full-time) salary between € 3,250. - and € 4,750. - per month;
